Corporate Matching Gifts

Whether you are currently employed or retired, your employer may be able to expand the impact of your individual gifts through a matching gift program.

Examples of corporate matching gifts include:

• Donation Matching: An employer matches an employee’s monetary donation to a qualified nonprofit, doubling the impact of the gift. Most companies use a 1:1 matching ratio, but some match at a higher rate, such as 2:1 or 3:1, while others have lower ratios.

• Volunteer Grants: An employer provides monetary grants to nonprofit organizations for hours that their employees volunteer at Emotions Matter.

• Maximum Match Amounts: An employer sets an annual limit on the amount they will match per employee.

Many companies also match the gifts of spouses, partners, surviving spouses, or family members.

Check with your Human Resources department to determine whether your company supports matching gifts to Emotions Matter.
