Memorial Giving: Helping in Memory of Loved Ones

Memorial Gifts are meaningful ways to remember a loved impacted by borderline personality disorder (BPD). While many people are able to manage symptoms and live a meaningful life with BPD, some sadly, die by suicide, overdose, or other health-related illnesses.

Memorial gifts made in memory of loved ones help Emotions Matter continue to pursue our mission to create a world in which every person impacted by BPD has access to community support, stigma-free resources, and the tools to achieve wellness.

You can remember the life of a loved one lost as a result of BPD in the following ways.

1. Make a one-time donation in memory of a loved one. Specific when completing the donation form the name of the person you want remembered, and who you want to receive a notification of your gift. Emotions Matter will send you a tax receipt for your gift, and acknowledge the gift to family of the person you are memorializing if you provide us with their contact information. 2. Create a personalized page to share your loved one’s and recruit donations from friends and family.  Emotions Matter will work with you to customize a Memorial Fund Donation page with a unique URL so that you can track and receive donations in memory of a loved one. Contact us Paula Tusiani-Eng, our Executive Director, at paula@emotionsmatterbpd.org for more information on how to create a customized memorial page.

3. Create a fund to support specialized programming or events at Emotions Matter. Emotions Matter will meet with families interested in creating memorial funds to support specific operational or programmatic initiatives at Emotions Matter. Contact us Paula Tusiani-Eng, our Executive Director, at paula@emotionsmatterbpd.org for more information on specialized fund giving opportunities.
